A fashion blogger has shared her must-have buys from Kmart for 2020 – including $20 jeans, a very chic pair of boots and a $35 winter coat.
Claire Dennis, from Tasmania, has been putting together discount outfits that look far more expensive than they are on her Instagram page called The Kmart Lover, which now boasts more than 119,000 followers.
Over the years, the low-end department chain has been dominating the budget fashion stakes by unveiling stylish looks for a fraction of the price.
Here, the 34-year-old has rounded up her top fashion picks of the year to help shoppers find the best ‘luxe for less’ items for less than $40.

‘In my eyes, Kmart has never been daggy, you just may have had to look harder for the key pieces,’ Claire told FEMAIL.
‘The Autumn/Winter 2020 drop has been nothing short of spectacular, Kmart really are at the forefront of fashion in Australia.’
Claire – who has shopped at Kmart her ‘whole life’ – said one of her favourite items at the moment is the $20 super high rise straight jeans.
For less than $10, she recommended an $8 ribbed crew neck top, sold in white, grey and black, $9 multi check scarf, and $9 ribbed pom beanie.
To get a winter look, Claire said she’s obsessed with a $25 soft fluffy knit jumper, $35 black coatigan and a $25 long sleeve crew neck dress.

For the ‘ultimate warmth and comfort’, Claire said she’s loving the speckled ‘loungewear set’, which includes a $15 wide textured pants paired with a matching $15 drop shoulder top.
Claire said she has long been able to dress herself on a budget – and every piece she owns makes her ‘feel good’ and ‘look good’ without spending a fortune.
‘I love the variety and the quality as well as being able to dress on trend without breaking the budget,’ she explained.

‘I feel the quality of some pieces has really improved over the last five years. If an item wore out in a season, I did not worry as it was low in price, but now, wow. They last for years.’
She said she noticed a ‘steady rise’ for Kmart fashion in the last five years.
‘I think marketing has had a lot to do with Kmart’s recent rise to being an on-trend retailer,’ she explained.
‘Further, the experience in the people behind the scenes goes a long way. They research global trends and forecast what is going to be “hot” long before we see it.’
